All the biggoted comments on this page. It makes me sad, but I could have predicted it. I’ve got degrees in math and engineering and have worked in STEM fields for the past 12 years. We’ve got a long way to go, glad to see videos like this, but really the comments prove why videos like this are still necessary.

You are exactly right! Which is why LGBT people need to know it’s okay to come out. Because they will be accepted and treated equally. We should make them aware of that, maybe by having a special day to let them know it’s okay. Right? Equal treatment and respect I agree with, but I don’t think a special day about you because you identify as something is necessary. LGBT inside me – LGBT flag. The individual needs to step it up and accept who they are and others will be accepting of it. If there is conflict, manage it on an interpersonal level.
