People blaming Peter Quill are just meh moviegoers who were watching Infinity War just like a simple popcorn flick. Strange simulated 14 million possibilities and the one where they’ll defeat Thanos is this one that’s why he let go the time stone that easily. I am a marvelaholic Marvel. Don’t you think the man who outfoxed Dormammu probably has a few tricks up his sleeve. Doctor Strange pulled a similar trick on Thanos: pretending to surrender the Time Stone in exchange for Tony Stark’s life, when really he knew he needed to give the Stone to Thanos, and just needed a plausible reason to do so.
