Cats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with a strong flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cat senses fit a crepuscular and predatory ecological niche. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals.

am so glad she did not take their advice. Every time I go to the vet, they suggest I put my cat down. My cat is fiv+ but does not leave my yard . He is a neutered outside cat who knows I feed him and he stays in my yard. I love my cats so much that at 2am, I just spent 20 minutes in my neighbor’s backyard trying coax one of my cats out of my neighbor’s tree with only my phone flashlight to see by.

Meanwhile, because my other cat is a genius, she puts her claws in my sliding screen door to pull it open and come over because I’m calling for the one in the tree. She gets distracted by a skunk!! Luckily, the skunk just ran off. After what seemed like an eternity, she attempted to climb down head first…and fell out of the tree. Cats do not always land on their feet cause she took quite the tumble. She doesn’t seem to have hurt herself, but I’ll keep my eye on her. Got her in and then wrangled the skunk hunter and it’s 2:40am and they’re both stretched out and sleeping. Cats…gotta love them.
