I love stories of the first time someone did something specially if they are women. Her sense of responsibility to the people is palpable and to women even more. I want someone like her as president. Sandra Day O’Connor (1930-) was an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1981 to 2006, and was the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court. Her iCivics Web resource us an amazing (and free!) teaching resource. I use it with all of my high school students and they love it. I’m wondering what video games she was able to play considering the arthritic knots in her finger joints.
